Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących nr 4 in Bydgoszcz is a public, pre-secondary and secondary school. Our curriculum covers different areas of students’ interests and offers a variety of subjects to choose from such as Biology, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Art, three foreign languages: English, French and German and many others. The school also tenders individual tutoring for students with special needs caused by their physical and mental deficiencies. Our teachers often use project work in their lessons, making students work empirically and gaining knowledge not only directly from course books.
We have had six student exchanges outside Comenius and many of our first-year students claim they choose our school as it is exchanges-friendly and encourages international cooperation.
The Comenius projects we have had so far have proved that we can be an ideal partner for schools of the same intellectual capacity and that we can not only gain from it but also, and most of all, contribute to recognizing Poland as an equal partner for many countries we feel inferior to, due to our humble background. Our students have a chance to test themselves in a number of difficult and unexpected situations and find the solutions and gain lifetime experience.

Specific social context: Our school is one of the best and most recognized in the region therefore it attracts students from the whole region not only from Bydgoszcz. Being considered student-friendly it encourages all social layers.
