Sunday, March 13 –
Saftas begins with the welcome of teachers and students arriving in Naples from the five countries participating in the project together with our Institute representing Italy.
Monday, March 14 –
In the Aula Magna of the Istituto Gentileschi, in the presence of local authorities and representatives of the press, the inaugural ceremony of the Saftas project takes place (Academy Awards Film and Theater Awards). The mayor of the city, Luigi de Magistris, and the Consul of France in Naples, participate in the presentation of the program addressing a message of good wishes to the teachers and students of the six countries involved (Spain, Greece, Italy, Poland, Turkey and France) .

We witness the realization of tableaux vivants, evocative representations of the works of the painter Caravaggio, followed by the didactic workshop “I tableaux si raccontano”. With the performances of the sweded scene of “Ay Carmela!”, the spot “L’altro” and the work on the iconic phrase of the film Intrigo Internazionale by Hitchcock, the works realized by the students are shown. With the concert of baroque music for harpsichord, mandolin and voice and the performance of the Masters Pier Paolo De Martino, Filomena Minni Diodati and Mauro Squillante on pieces by Cavalli, Scarlatti, Pergolesi, Leo, Barbella, Paisiello and Cimarosa, we will appreciate the importance of the Italian musical tradition of the past.
After a visit to the Naples Flegrea area, and without neglecting a delicious taste of typical neapolitan products, we are all going to the Rai studios of Viale Marconi to attend the general rehearsals of the television program Made in Sud.
Tuesday, March 15 –
Another morning spent at the RAI in Naples with a visit to the sets in which some of the most important programs of Italian television are made, of recording and editing studios and scenography workshops. After a working meeting with the teachers and students Saftas, a film workshop with the Prof. Sandrine Weil.
Wednesday, March 16 – Meeting with the film critic Prof. Russo of the Istituto Gentileschi and transfer of all the participants to the Historical Center for a brief visit to the Ancient Naples. An educational workshop of Prof. Margherita Salvatore and prof. Aristide Donadio on the analysis of the character of Falstaff, a tasty lunch for the Saftas team in the historic center of Naples and a visit to the National Library of the Royal Palace and the historic Palazzo Zevallos, conclude this interesting approach to the city of Naples. The day ends with the participation in a great event: at the Regio Teatro San Carlo we will attend the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Falstaff, directed by Luca Ronconi.
Thursday, March 17 –
The whole day will be dedicated to Pompeii and to the visit of this very important and unique archaeological site, famous in the world.
Friday, March 18 –
Morning dedicated to sport with the Saftas Erasmus Plus tournament in which teams from Poland, France, Spain, Turkey, Greece and Italy take part. In the afternoon a photography workshop by prof. Pica Ciamarra and the meeting with the actress Monica Assante di Tatisso for the workshop on the Neapolitan theatrical and musical tradition will conclude another day of Saftas.
Saturday, March 19 –
Film editing workshop with Prof. Sandrine Weil and greetings to the first teams returning to their respective countries.
Sunday, March 20 – We have come to the end of this first mobility in Naples. With the greeting to the teachers and students of the hosted teams we say goodbye to the next meeting in Moaña, Spain.
